Commissioning a portrait is an intimate thing. It should feel thoughtful, collaborative, and personal.

Every portrait I create is illustrated from scratch using your photos, your story, and the way you want to feel when you see yourself reflected back. I am not interested in copying a photo exactly. I am interested in capturing presence, confidence, and mood.

The goal is for you to look at your portrait and feel recognized, not just represented.

Framed tropical Art Nouveau-style illustration of a woman with long flowing hair, plumeria flowers in her hair, and a pink sarong, posed beside a pond. The background features swirling motifs and tropical flowers, with the frame mounted on a teal wallpaper patterned with large stylized palm fronds.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Step 1

Inquiry and Alignment
You share a few details about who the portrait is for, the occasion, and what you are hoping to capture. This helps make sure we are a good fit before moving forward.

Step 2

Concept and Composition
I design the overall layout, pose, setting, and details using your references as inspiration. This is where the portrait begins to take on its personality and mood.

Step 3

Illustration and Refinement
The portrait is illustrated by hand from scratch. Progress is shared at key stages so the work can evolve thoughtfully without being rushed or overworked.

Step 4

Final Artwork and Delivery
Your portrait is completed as a signed, archival artwork and delivered ready to display and enjoy.
